The first paper is by Professor Andrew Coleman, where he explains how two current research projects are aiming to develop ways of using landscape and green infrastructure to adapt to climate change and deliver better water management. This article was published in The Journal of the Town and Country Planning.
The second is written for a conference in Milan by Lander Debrabander, Arne Debruyne and Karel Vanackere. It tackles the challenges related to climate change related natural hazards such as flooding and droughts. The manner to deal with these challenges in an urban context hasnt reached any consensus between urban planners and policy makers. As most of these strategies lack a holistic design approach, it is often unclear which of these efforts or measures will lead to the desired effects. This report proposes a multi-layered approach.
